Verrazzano Bridge is being repainted as part of $128.5M project

New York’s Staten Island. You’ve undoubtedly noticed some strange activity if you’ve recently crossed the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge.

The large platforms that encircle the famous towers are not merely ornamental. According to an MTA official, the city started repainting the bridge’s Brooklyn and Staten Island towers earlier this month.
