Will NYC Sanitation have scheduled trash pickup on Martin Luther King Jr. Day?

New York’s Staten Island — The city Department of Sanitation (DSNY) has declared that Monday, January 20, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and there will be no garbage, recycling, or compost collection on that day.

On Monday night, residents who typically have their trash, recycling, or compost collected on Mondays should place their goods at the curb. Collection will resume on Tuesday, January 21.
