Woman, 20, named in spate of robberies on Staten Island offered chance at probation

New York’s Staten Island. A woman implicated as an accomplice in the case has been given the opportunity to avoid the same fate as a 21-year-old male from New Brighton who was sentenced to prison for a string of robberies and forced takings that targeted food service and livery drivers on Staten Island.

At a hearing in state Supreme Court, St. George, on Nov. 21, Kahmaiyah Bailey, 20, of the 300 block of Victory Boulevard in Tompkinsville, was placed on temporary probation in relation to the 2023 occurrences.

She will receive a probation in lieu of jail sentence if she stays out of trouble, visits a probation officer, and appears in court before Justice Lisa Grey in the upcoming months.

Regular reporting to a probation officer, obtaining employment, adhering to a curfew, completing community service, and, in certain situations, seeking counseling are all examples of probationary conditions.

Due to her role in the spree, Bailey entered a guilty plea to third-degree robbery on October 1.

According to court filings, Isaacs robbed a livery driver in broad daylight in January 2023, just a short distance from his residence at the Richmond Terrace Houses in New Brighton. (Maps on Google)Maps on Google

Co-defendant sentenced to prison

In August, 22-year-old Justin Isaacs of the 400 block of Richmond Terrace entered a guilty plea to first-degree and third-degree robbery in relation to the 2023 events.

Prosecutors claim that over the course of ten days, Isaacs targeted at least five individuals in robberies and forced thefts, sometimes with Bailey’s assistance.

Isaacs, who weighed 170 pounds and was 5 feet 7 inches tall according to jail documents, yelled at the male driver during one robbery, “Open the door,” and then fled away.
