Woman, 43, fatally stabbed outside Staten Island apartment complex during large fight

New York’s Staten Island. According to authorities, a 43-year-old woman was tragically stabbed Tuesday night during a heated altercation close to her West Brighton home.

According to an NYPD statement, Jennira Roundtree was stabbed numerous times in the chest before police arrived at the West Brighton Houses apartment building at 820 Henderson Ave. at approximately 7:35 p.m.

The facility was home to Roundtree.

According to a person familiar with the investigation, the victim was killed after a brawl outside one of the buildings that involved up to 20 women.

According to the police statement, EMS arrived and took Roundtree to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton, where she passed away from her wounds.

According to authorities, the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.

Police do not yet have descriptions of the suspects.
