Melania Trump, the former first lady, is set to appear at a fundraising event for the Log Cabin Republicans later this month. The event will take place on April 20 at Mar-a-Lago, her husband’s Florida club. This news comes from a report by Politico on Thursday night, which obtained an invitation to the event.
The Log Cabin Republicans describe themselves as the largest Republican organization dedicated to representing LGBT conservatives. They have maintained close ties with Melania Trump for some time. In fact, she was honoured with an award at a gala hosted by the group at Mar-a-Lago in 2021.
The upcoming event on April 20 will mark the launch of the Log Cabin Republicans’ “Road to Victory” program, which aims to mobilize voters in swing states. This program is significant as it coincides with Melania Trump’s rare public appearance.
Just last month, Melania declined to commit to regular campaign appearances when asked by a reporter. However, she hinted at future involvement by saying, “stay tuned.” Her husband, Donald Trump, is currently running for president again and is facing several legal challenges.
