New York Man Sentenced for Stealing More Than $800K from Game Machines in Different States!

A Bronx resident, Rolando Jose Pena, has been sentenced to 57 months in federal prison for his role in a sophisticated operation that targeted skilled gaming machines across multiple states, resulting in the theft of more than $800,000. This sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Cathy Bissoon on June 24, following a thorough investigation and prosecution.

Pena, along with unidentified co-conspirators, executed a series of break-ins and thefts from gaming machines located in various establishments throughout Pennsylvania and Virginia from April 2022 to March 2023. The scheme involved forcibly accessing these machines to steal cash, which was subsequently transported back to New York.

Law enforcement agencies, including the United States Secret Service and the United States Postal Inspection Service, collaborated extensively across state lines to investigate and prosecute Pena and his accomplices. Their efforts led to the recovery of significant evidence and the eventual arrest and prosecution of those involved.

Judge Bissoon’s sentencing underscored the severity of Pena’s actions and the financial impact on the affected businesses. The case highlights ongoing efforts by authorities to combat organized theft and protect businesses operating across state borders from such criminal activities.
