Relatives: Jealous Ex Killed NYC Cabbie and Then Sent His Family Horrifying Photos and Chilling Voice Messages!

A beloved Bronx cab driver, Reynaldo Luna, was allegedly stabbed to death by his jealous ex-girlfriend, Mirda Degracia, in a brutal attack that has left his family reeling in shock and grief. The tragic incident took place inside Degracia’s Bronx apartment on Sunday morning, and what followed was a series of horrifying actions by the accused that further traumatized Luna’s loved ones.

Degracia, 52, did not stop committing the heinous act of murder. She allegedly sent graphic photos of Luna’s bloodied body to his family members, along with chilling voice messages confessing to the crime. According to Luna’s family, Degracia used both her phone and Luna’s phone to send the disturbing images and messages.

In one voice message, Degracia can be heard saying, “Papito, I called the ambulance, the police. I killed your brother-in-law,” addressing Luna’s brother-in-law directly. In another message, she taunted one of Luna’s former partners, saying, “I told you he was coming back to me. He’s here with me, so who lost you or me here? And who won? Look at the proof I sent you that he’s here with me.” The “proof” referenced were photos showing Luna’s lifeless body.

Kelly Garces, Luna’s niece, recounted the sequence of events leading to the horrific discovery. “The first photo was sent to Reynaldo’s brother-in-law, Papito, in the Dominican Republic,” she said. “She was sending them to nieces and nephews.

She sent it from his phone and her phone. She was sending pictures at 3-something in the morning. He was visibly injured. He was bleeding through his mouth. She sent three photos from different angles of how she stabbed him.”

Luna, 63, was found with a stab wound to the chest in the Soundview section of the Bronx around 9:40 a.m. on Sunday. He was quickly rushed to Jacobi Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The police arrested Degracia, who is now charged with murder and manslaughter.

Garces described Degracia as a possessive ex-girlfriend who had been stalking Luna. “She was stalking him,” Garces said. “She would come here, call him, text him. She used to tell him she wanted to kill herself. It was manipulation. We didn’t take it seriously. We did not think she would go to that length. We thought the last time they separated, it was over. This was December of last year.”

Luna, originally from the Dominican Republic, was a loving father of three who cherished his family. He had met Degracia in the Dominican Republic when both were very young, but his family never considered the relationship to be very serious. In recent years, Luna maintained his apartment in New York, separate from Degracia.

In the weeks leading up to the tragedy, Degracia had been complaining that Luna owed her money. Garces revealed that on the day of the incident, Degracia had called Luna to come to her apartment to settle a debt of around $6,000. Despite a planned family dinner that evening, Luna went to Degracia’s apartment, a decision that would cost him his life.

Earlier that morning, Luna had stopped by his sister’s apartment for breakfast and had promised to return for the family dinner. Garces’s mother, Eusebia Brioso, stayed up until 5 a.m. waiting for him and became increasingly worried when she could not reach him. “My mother tried to call him, but he didn’t answer. My mother was worried. [Degracia] was calling him consistently that day about the money that was owed. I think that was the reason he went there,” Garces said.
