BUFFALO, N.Y.—Dominique Singletary, 29, was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals in Maryland based on an indictment warrant issued by the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.
The charges against Singletary include three counts of second-degree attempted murder, one count of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, and one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
The incident occurred on the 1100 block of Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo, where Singletary allegedly used an illegal firearm to shoot at three individuals during a heated altercation.
The victims, all men, were subsequently treated at ECMC for their injuries. One victim sustained severe physical harm, while the other two suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Singletary’s arrest in Maryland followed an intensive search effort led by law enforcement agencies, culminating in his extradition back to Western New York to face prosecution. He is currently held without bail, and temporary orders of protection have been issued on behalf of the victims.

If convicted of the most serious charges, Singletary faces a maximum sentence of up to 75 years in prison, highlighting the severity of the allegations against him in this ongoing legal matter.
