A heartbreaking incident occurred in New York City, as Sophia d’Antoine, the young founder of a cybersecurity firm, passed away after being struck by a luxury SUV.
The tragic event unfolded on the night of April 2, when d’Antoine was walking near her Upper East Side apartment and was hit by a speeding Land Rover.
The SUV then collided with a taxi and another parked vehicle. Despite being rushed to Weill Cornell Medical Center in critical condition, d’Antoine, aged 30, succumbed to her injuries three days later.
Sophia d’Antoine was the visionary behind Margin Research, a boutique cybersecurity company she founded in 2018. Her company undertook projects for prestigious clients like DARPA.
Notably, d’Antoine also made history in 2018 by becoming the first female hacker-in-residence at the OSIRIS lab at New York University.
